So you are looking for an eve online guide, huh? Well in this article I am going to show you what to do when you first login to the game, we are talking about the first steps that you will take. These are a few things you want to do when you get into the game and you want to get your character up on the right line so you can progress through the game effectively.
The first thing you may want to do, even if you do not understand it at the moment, open up your character sheet on the left hand side and go to your attributes window. This is where you find the different attributes your character has that affect the rate at which you will learn skills.
You want to click on the 'Remap Now' button and adjust a few of the attributes in there. Bring the charisma down, because you do not really need it. Add one additional point to 'Perception' and one additional point to 'Memory'. Then click the 'Save Changes' button. These are your primary set of attributes that you will make use of most of the time.
The second thing you want to do is get a skill training, this is the only way you will progress in this game. Therefore, go back to your character skills and click on your 'Skills'. It is a very good idea to go into learning the different skills as soon as possible.
You can start with the 'Spaceship Command' skill which is free, just right click on it and start learning. You should always have your character learning at all times, so set up a few skills for it to learn in the 'Training Que'. If you can try make sure the last skill in the line is as long as possible so even if you do go away or do not login for a few days, your character will still be training.
Once you have the settings above configured you can return to the main page and start going through the tutorial. There should be a tutorial window, right there in the bottom right hand corner. Just follow the tutorial from now on, and wherever you go you will know you are moving in the right direction.
