Console Games Quality

I wonder what the current generation of children and teenagers would do without games consoles. It is the main source of entertainment for these age groups. There would not be many household now without at least one game console, some at least two or three.

The other game console that is also popular today is played on mobile or cell phones (depending on where you live). You see children and teenagers especially playing them all the time.

I must admit there is nothing like sitting down with something to nibble and a drink then quite happily playing a game for a couple of hours or so. The "or so" being the operative phrase. My favourites are the adventure types, something you have to think about and solve as you go along. They also can take weeks to complete, depending on how much time you have to play. My favourite are the Zelda games. I have them all.

I find, and am not the only one having discussed this with others, that even though 20 years old, the best quality games as far as content go are played on the old Super Nintendo. Though they lack all the technologies and graphics that you get in the more modern ones, quite a few have now become collectors items, good ones are really hard to find, and some worth more than they were originally when new.

The most boring types to me are ones I call "bang-bang-bang" games and car racing, though I know these are very popular with the males, especially young ones.
